Homecoming happens every fall on the first Sunday in September after Labor Day. It is a celebration feast day when we kick off the beginning of the program year. Members and friends rejoice to gather together for food and fellowship with special games and activities for the children. Homecoming marks the beginning of the fall children's and youth ministry programs and usually includes the lauching of a new short term adult learning class.
On Consecration Sunday we celebrate the gifts of God to us with an combined worship service and luncheon afterward. We joyfully make our financial commitment to the ministry of this church on Consecration Sunday, usually scheduled in early November. It's a great day of promise as we look forward to what God will do in and through our congregation in the coming year.
Chili Cookoff is a contest among the many excellent cooks in our congregation and a feast for the taste buds for those of us who come to enjoy. This is a winter event!
Day at the Farm
The Day at the Farm is a new event in our church. We enjoy a fall Sunday afternoon at the Justice farm with horseback riding, lawn games, fishing, golf cart rides and excellent food!
Every Easter Sunday we set out an amazing brunch between the joyful Easter services to celebrate the resurrection together around the tables! Children look forward to the Easter Egg Hunt while the adults are enjoying their Easter brunch. Our special Easter bunnies scatter a gazillion Easter eggs throughout the sanctuary for our little ones to find. It is an event our children look forward to year after year!.
Summer All Church Picnic
The annual summer picnic happens at varying times, but will take place on the Fourth of July weekend this year. Our wonderful, green and flowered grounds make the perfect place for a picnic. Our new playground keeps our little ones happy so we can have a second helping of dessert!
